TRF App Flows

Main Menu Flow

Your TRF Main Menu is command central for shop setup. By tapping the hamburger menu (the three stacked lines in the top right corner of the welcome screen), shop management can access everything needed to customize the app, manage subscriptions, and get support.

TRF App Main Menu Flow

Tattoo shops aren't run from a desk; they are run from the floor. The Main Menu acts as your secure administrative dock, designed from real-world studio ownership experience to protect studio owners from internal data theft, client list hijacking, and unauthorized settings changes.

While artists use their specific passcodes to handle day-to-day tattoo sessions, the Main Menu restricts administrative configurations and financial purchases behind your Master Passcode (default 1234) to keep your shop operations safe and secure.

ACCESSING SETTINGS section

This locked section is the administrative core of your app. To prevent unauthorized changes by clients or staff, accessing Settings requires your Master Passcode.

SETTINGS: Tapping prompts a numeric keypad. Enter your Master Passcode (default 1234) to unlock the Settings dashboard.

The 7 TRF Settings Tabs: Once unlocked, you will see seven configuration tabs at the top of your screen: STUDIO, FORM, EDITORS, REPORTS, CLOUD, CRF, and MORE.

Deep-Dive Configuration: To learn how to configure each tab, edit your artist/pigment lists, set up automated cloud backups, or customize required client fields, refer to our dedicated TRF SETTINGS FLOW.

Shop Logo: Located on the left side of the Settings screen. Tap the logo box to upload your studio's custom branding directly from your iPad Photos library.

SAVE & VERIFY: The gold button at the bottom left. Any time you modify lists or upload a logo, tap SAVE & VERIFY to lock in your changes and return to the welcome screen.

PURCHASES

This button allows management to handle billing and plan adjustments directly on the iPad.

Options:

Master Passcode Lock: Just like Settings, this page manages sensitive billing details and is strictly restricted behind your Master Passcode.

Manage Subscription: Upgrade or downgrade your active TRF monthly plans based on your studio's volume. Solo artists can scale down, and growing shops can seamlessly add more devices.

Restore Purchases: If you swap iPads or reinstall the app, tap this to instantly restore and sync your existing premium plan without paying twice.

KNOWLEDGE BASE & SUPPORT

Get instant help when you hit an administrative hurdle. No bots, no automatic menu runarounds—just real support from real tattooers.

In-App Support: Access the full support Knowledge Base directly within the app. No passcode is required to browse articles or submit a help request.

No Email Support Over Phones: A direct explanation of why we offer robust email support instead of phone lines. Phones are useless for troubleshooting iPad settings, while email lets us share screenshots, describe setup details, and solve issues quickly so you can get back to drawing.

TRF MADE EXAMPLE WAIVER section

Review a finalized release form to see exactly what is compiled for your records.

Preview Waiver: Opens and lets you swipe through a completed mock PDF waiver to check how client information, signatures, and pigment lot codes are laid out.

Share Inspector Copy: Tapping the green share icon in the top right corner of the preview launches the standard iOS share options, allowing you to instantly email or AirDrop a complete example waiver directly to your local health department inspector.

RELEASE NOTES & PRIVACY POLICY

Transparency and continuous improvements to keep your shop running flawlessly.

Release Notes: Lists our continuous updates, app-wide optimizations, and developer bug fixes.

Privacy Policy: Instantly accessible legal policies explaining exactly how client and studio data is securely managed, stored, and protected.

Security Alerts & Best Practices

  1. Change the Default PINs. Your TRF app ships with a default Master Passcode of 1234. If your Artist Passcode and Master Passcode both remain on 1234, the app will display a prominent visual warning banner at the top of Settings. To protect your business from client or artist tampering, set unique codes under the STUDIO tab immediately. And write them down somewhere!

  2. Save and Verify. If you exit the settings menu without tapping the gold SAVE & VERIFY button at the bottom left, none of your list edits, required form fields, or logos will apply to your client-facing waiver. Always use SAVE & VERIFY to lock in changes.
